Overview
ANTIAGEING.SG was established in 2005 in Singapore as a public health service aimed at
promoting the understanding of the nature of aging and
to extend the healthy, active years of life.
By publishing online evidence-based review articles on various purported antiageing
treatments and products,
ANTIAGEING.SG hopes to educate the public to be better-informed consumers.
ANTIAGEING.SG aims to be a one-stop antiageing portal, which offers reliable, unbiased,
and evidence-based information and advice, which the public can refer to anytime, for free!
ANTIAGEING.SG strongly supports public health education, so as to encourage
people to live healthier lives. Healthy living can prevent diseases and certain
disabilities, and it can ensure that today’s older persons –
as well as future generations – not only live longer, but also better.
Mission
ANTIAGEING.SG's mission is to improve the health and well-being of old and
young generations alike, and specifically to:
- Encourage and support research and the studies of:
- Aging processes
- Age-related diseases
- Special problems and needs of the aged
- Disseminate information and communicate with the public and interested groups
on health and research advances and on new directions for research.
- Educate the public on evidence-based medicine as to make them better consumers.
Funding
ANTIAGEING.SG is a not-for-profit information portal, which
is solely funded by the founder. The current revenue from advertisements
by Google covers less than 0.1 percent of the cost of maintaining
the website. ANTIAGEING.SG is looking forward to marketing
advertisement spaces to cover maintenance and to further expand
the website.

Website Archiving by NLB
The National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore is traditionally
known to collect published materials for preservation as the nation's
published heritage. This includes online and electronic publications
of lasting national, historical, research and cultural values.
NLB has embarked on a web-archiving project, with the long-term
goal of building a comprehensive collection of Singapore-related
websites and publications to ensure that Singaporeans have access
to their documentary heritage now and in the future.
NLB has deemed ANTI-AGEING.SG to be an important
part of Singapore's documentary heritage and would like it to
remain available to researchers and generations of Singaporeans
in the future. Hence NLB will be embarking on a project of taking
snapshots of the website beginning August 2007.
